Documentary of Japanese film maker who visits China to finish a documentary started by his soon-to-be-deceased son. Shows how a stubborn Japanese elder fisherman acts like a culturally-insensitive American when faced with the reality of another country's culture.

In this case, how a Chinese prison was double crossed by a foreigner who made a film the previous year, and portrayed the local bureacracy in a negative vein. Thereafter a second foreigner insists the only person who can portray a certain traditional tale is in an individual in prison. Finally the local prison and authorities are shown in a favorable light, and the foreign visitor looses his hard edge as well.
